GitHub added webhook delivery IP ranges to the Meta API
Original ~2 min → 20 sec here
The point
GitHub is adding IP ranges for webhook deliveries on github.com, and the Meta API now includes those additional ranges in its hooks field. If your servers only accept GitHub webhooks from an allowlist of IPs, the new ranges need to be on it.
Why it matters
Static allowlists quietly go stale. The Meta API hooks field is the source of truth, so pull ranges from there instead of hardcoding a list you found once.
Key details
- The added ranges are for GitHub webhook deliveries on github.com
- The Meta API returns them in the hooks field alongside the existing ranges
